The Atlanta Writers Group (AWG) is a volunteer organization comprised of aspiring and professional writers of all genres. We work to encourage, develop and promote writers in the Atlanta Metropolitan and surrounding areas. We encourage local writers through mentoring and fellowship. We help to develop their talents by providing writing opportunities and training information. We promote local writers by showcasing their media and events.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Atlanta Writers Group is to encourage, develop and promote writers of the Atlanta Metropolitan and surrounding areas through mentoring, sponsoring events to increase public awareness of local literary talent, and providing information and training by industry professionals.
