General Membership

Membership in the Atlanta Writers Group (AWG), is open to adults (18 & Up) that live in the Atlanta Metropolitan and surrounding areas and have an interest in writing.  Note:  Members are required to complete a membership application and provide contact information.

Associate Level Membership

        Requirements:

• At least 3 articles published in a magazine, journal, newspaper, newsletter or on-line publication

        General Membership Benefits Plus:

• Opportunity to submit Feature Articles to AWG newsletter
• Autor/Speaker Events posted at AWG website
• Invitation to conduct AWG workshops.

Professional Level Membership

        Requirements:

        Writers:

• Author at least 2 published books or 1 book and 5 magazine or journal articles
• Invited as a keynote or guest speaker for at least 5 public speaking engagements

         Editors & Other Industry Professionals:

• At least 5 years staff experience for a print magazine, newspaper, journal or on-line publication

        Associate Level Benefits Plus:

• Photo & Bio featured on "Authors & Speakers" Page of AWG website
• Book information and website links at AWG website
• Media spread at AWG website (includes press releases, exerpts & book ads)
• Invitation for paid speaking engagements at AWG workshops & conferences
